Scentsational Soaps & Candles, Inc., which has recently rebranded to Scentsational, is a family business pouring candles since 1998 in the U.S.A. Their craft candles can be purchased online, at their factory store in Florida, and at big-box stores such as HomeGoods, Marshalls, and T.J. Maxx. The company has a 50,000-square-foot production facility in Venice, FL, and offers customized private label development and proprietary customized soy wax blends.

Objective

Scentsational’s business is direct-to-consumer (DTC) and business-to-business (B2B). The company came to Lounge Lizard Worldwide for a modern, user-friendly website to boost sales from consumers and wholesalers. As a primary marketing tool, the website needed to be functional (easy-to-make purchases and accessible login portals), but it was also essential to rebrand the company with a new industrial-glam look and candle-only product lines for every lifestyle.

The products and company shine with lifestyle product imagery, fresh design, and creative content.

While technology has yet to develop a scratch-and-sniff website option, visitors browsing Scentsational’s website can quickly understand what candles smell like through descriptive copy and images that showcase some of the primary ingredients and various base notes. 

With white space and a simplistic design, the new website is easy to navigate. 

What about shoppers who don’t know exactly what they want? A new filtering system will guide them as they browse.

Shoppers can pick fragrance, size, or price and search for trending candles. Lounge Lizard Brandtenders added this personal shopping experience to optimize and increase Scentsational’s conversion rates.

Brandtenders also included Shopper Approved reviews so website visitors can get thoughts on the candles they are interested in purchasing.

Scentsational completed an internal rebranding, and the Lounge Lizard team used the new logo and brand guidelines on the website to elevate the shopping experience that consumers and wholesalers crave.

The WordPress site integrates QuickBooks for accounting, Authorize.net for payments, and WooCommerce for e-commerce functions. 

A wholesaler and private label partner portal includes inventory updates, order history, pricing, payment capabilities, and private label opportunities for candles, room spray, and hand sanitizer. The consumer portal is an easy login to keep track of orders, payments, and shipping.
