OpenWorks
Rebuilding OpenWorks’ Digital Platform for Scalable National Growth
OpenWorks is a national facility management and commercial cleaning company with more than 40 years of experience serving businesses across industries including healthcare, private education, logistics, and other complex operating environments. Its model combines centralized operational oversight with the hands-on service of local franchise owners, helping organizations maintain cleaner, safer, and more consistent facilities across locations.
As OpenWorks continued to expand nationally, its existing Webflow website had become difficult to scale and no longer clearly communicated both sides of the business. Lounge Lizard was brought in to create a more sophisticated digital presence that could boost the company’s national positioning, generate opportunities for facility services, and support continued franchise growth.
OpenWorks needed a website that could establish the company as a nationwide facility management partner while creating clear, distinct journeys for two very different audiences: businesses looking for facility services and entrepreneurs exploring franchise opportunities. The experience needed to communicate the value of the OpenWorks model quickly while guiding each audience toward relevant information and conversion points.
The project also required a more scalable technical foundation. Migrating from Webflow to WordPress, improving HubSpot lead attribution and routing, strengthening SEO capabilities, and addressing privacy and accessibility requirements were all important to creating a platform capable of supporting OpenWorks’ continued national expansion.

Lounge Lizard developed a flexible, component-based WordPress experience that could evolve alongside new brand messaging being developed during the project. The information architecture and user journeys were structured to clearly separate facility service customers from prospective franchise owners, giving each audience more relevant content and calls to action while strengthening OpenWorks’ broader national brand.
The migration from Webflow also created a stronger foundation for SEO, content expansion, and internal website management. HubSpot was integrated to support state-based lead tagging and routing, giving OpenWorks greater visibility into where customer and franchise opportunities originated. Termly and UserWay were incorporated to support privacy and accessibility requirements, while a more polished visual system helped elevate the company’s positioning with enterprise-level audiences.
The redesigned website gave OpenWorks a more sophisticated digital presence that better represents its national scale and distinctive approach to facility management. Clearer messaging and dedicated audience journeys make it easier for prospective customers and franchise partners to understand the business while moving toward the actions most relevant to them.
With a scalable WordPress foundation, stronger HubSpot lead attribution, improved content flexibility, and a more authoritative visual identity, OpenWorks now has a digital platform built to support continued expansion. The new experience strengthens the company’s position as a total facility partner while giving its internal team greater control over the website and the flexibility to support future marketing initiatives.
