Winspire offers unique charity vacation packages that non-profits can auction to raise funds. These packages include exclusive travel experiences that non-profits can provide at fundraising auctions without any upfront cost. Winspire approached Lounge Lizard with the need to revamp their website both visually and functionally to enhance user experience and increase sales. This case study outlines the strategies and solutions implemented by Lounge Lizard to meet Winspire’s goals.

The primary objective of this project was to maximize Winspire’s sales by improving its website’s visual appeal and functionality. Winspire aimed to make the site more accessible and appealing to its non-profit clients, thereby increasing engagement and transaction completion.


  • Lounge Lizard focused on a comprehensive overhaul of Winspire’s website using advanced design and technology solutions. The key elements of our approach included:
  • User Experience (UX) Design: Based on feedback from initial meetings, our team redesigned the website structure to enhance navigation and searchability. This involved restructuring the package presentation and filtering system to make it user-friendly.
  • Visual Design: We embraced the trends of clean layouts and bold minimalism, using prominent photography to draw attention and create a strong visual impact. The design was aligned with Winspire’s updated branding, which included their new logo and color scheme, to ensure a cohesive visual identity.
  • Technology Integration: The site was built using Adobe PSD, XD, and Illustrator. Significant improvements were made in backend functionality, including a customized user dashboard that stored customer profiles, order history, and payment information.
  • HubSpot Integration: One of the most challenging aspects was the functionality and intricate integration points with HubSpot. Winspire previously had all customer data (suitcases, experiences, etc.) in SalesForce. That data needed to be moved to the new CRM, which was essential for maintaining customer relationship management and operational efficiency.
  • Content Enhancement: The website’s content was enriched with videos, detailed trip overviews, and dynamic elements like motion graphics to provide a fully immersive experience. This humanistic approach aimed to differentiate Winspire from typical travel sites by focusing on the custom experience they offer to non-profits.


The redesign and functional upgrades brought a fresh and modern feel to Winspire’s website, making it significantly more attractive and easier for clients to use. The humanistic elements and immersive content effectively conveyed the uniqueness of Winspire’s offerings, aligning with its brand identity as a premier provider of non-profit fundraising solutions.


Post-launch, Winspire reported improved engagement metrics such as increased time-on-site and higher conversion rates. The easier navigation and enhanced user interface led to more efficient interactions and a better overall user experience. The integration with SalesForce smoothed internal processes, allowing Winspire to manage relationships and transactions more effectively. These improvements have poised Winspire to maximize sales and enhance their market position as a leader in non-profit fundraising travel packages.
