ROCO Films is an organization that distributes documentary films to audiences and media platforms worldwide. Their core belief is that sharing stories about real people and issues strengthens us. ROCO Films captures and curates real-life stories, the ones that start conversations, lift voices, and spark new ideas to bring communities together around film.
Redesigning ROCO Film’s website was no small task — this included combining their different service sites and integrations into one engaging experience. The website needed an improved e-commerce system, with enhanced filtering and intuitive navigation core elements for a seamless customer journey. With this revamp, ROCO Films also desired a website they could easily manage, increase their sales leads, and improve their organic search engine rankings.

Sharing stories is what ROCO Films does best, and we knew how important it was to be able to showcase these in a simple way for website visitors. With many different types of services for filmmakers, the team focused on placing their goals and services front and center. Beyond this, we also incorporated a full-fledged e-commerce platform to support their growing library of films.
If you know show business, there are many different genres, themes, runtimes, and more elements to find the proper film. Our Brandtenders implemented a very slick search and filtering system that allows users to find the type of film that appeals to them. Talk about curated!
Additionally, each film is accompanied by an in-depth summary, an option to watch the trailer, and additional licensing opportunities for purchase. Important information such as the director, producer, runtime, and press reviews are provided and easily viewed on the selected film. We even included space for related films to be showcased to promote longer website visits, further exploration, and sales.
ROCO Films’ motto is “We Make It Simple” — This new website makes the experience extremely simple for the user but is also so flush with content that the user doesn’t ever need to question where they are or why they are on a specific page.

After the new website went live, our team observed a big bump in traffic. It had more than 4,000 new users in a month!
