Ken Braun Inducted into the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences
Lounge Lizard is thrilled to announce that Ken Braun was inducted into the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences was founded in 1998 behind the idea of helping push the creativity, technical progress and professional progress of both interactive media and the internet.
The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) select both the nominees and winners of The Lovie Awards, which honor the Best of the European Internet across websites, mobile and applications, social, internet video and online advertising and The Webby Awards, the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.
Both awards recognize excellence, best practices and people who are responsible for pushing the envelope on what can be done on the World Wide Web. Braun has been a judge for web awards in the past and along with Lounge Lizard, a recipient of web design and development awards.
Membership in IADAS is currently by invitation only and is limited to those individuals who have catalyzed great achievements on the Internet, demonstrated extraordinary talent in a traditional medium, or who possess in-depth knowledge of new media and comprehensive familiarity with a broad range of sites within a category. Executive Academy Members of IADAS include people such as Arianna Huffington, Vint Cert, Eva Chen, Biz Stone and Susan Crawford.
The 21st Annual Webby Awards are considered by many to be the Internet’s highest honor. The most recent award show was hosted by Patton Oswalt and featured Kevin Spacey, Jerry Seinfeld and many more. This last year they received over 10,000 entries from over 60 countries.
The Lovie Awards are in their sixth year and this past year they received entries from nearly 40 countries and featured Mark Watson as host at the last event.
“I am extremely proud to be recognized and acknowledged by a group as prestigious and well-received as the IADAS. To be included with the many luminaries in my field is truly an honor,” said Braun. Humbled to be included with the IADAS, Braun has always looked to push the limits of web development and internet artistry to new heights as he helps all of Lounge Lizards’ clients achieve their own personal success in the world.
